Aboriginal Education
Aanii . Welcome . Bonjour
The Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is committed to improving and supporting Aboriginal student success. Our goal is to ensure students have the traditional and contemporary knowledge, skills, attitudes and confidence they require to be socially contributing, politically active and economically prosperous citizens of the world nurtured by both the values of our Catholic faith and the Seven Grandfather teachings.

Improving Lifelong Opportunities for Aboriginal Students
Our Board demonstrates its commitment to improve lifelong learning opportunities for Aboriginal students and youth through providing communication and information about a voluntary and confidential Aboriginal Self- Identification Policy to First Nation, Métis and Inuit families, communities and stakeholders. Throughout 2007-2008, a series of consultations occurred between our Board and Aboriginal community partners and parents and guardians.
