St. Theresa was first opened in 1997 as a Junior Kindergarten to
grade two school in Corbeil. The school grew by one grade until it
included grade six in 2001. The students actively participate in
academic and extra curricular programs such as the, the choir,
volleyball, peer helpers, cross country running team, skating and
gymnastics lessons by qualified instructors at a local club. The
students participate in liturgical celebrations at school. Parents
have an opportunity to become engaged in a variety of activities:
the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, library helpers, Book Fairs,
classroom helpers, fund raising, educational outings and the
Catholic School Advisory Council. Our school community moved to a
newly built facility in September 2006.

Catholic School Advisory Council
The Catholic School Advisory Committee acts as a consulting
group who actively involves itself with school decisions. For
example the members have developed the school Code of Behavior
Handbook and review it yearly.
The committee members keenly attend meetings and are available
more frequently when deemed necessary. They also network with other
school councils within our Board.
How We Live Our Catholic Faith
Our school community has many opportunities to express their
Catholic Faith. Our students are involved in the planning for the
monthly masses or liturgies by preparing hymns and special
intentions. The junior grade students support the younger ones by
volunteering to be peer helpers. They provide helping hands in the
kindergarten class and during special events. Regular food drives
serve to support some of the community needs. Our students
participate in the Canadian Tire Young Citizenship Activities.
