Additional Safety Measures for Ontario Schools

As you are aware, the Province of Ontario has announced a second state of emergency effective Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021. A reminder that all Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board schools will remain open for in-person learning during this time.

As directed by the Ministry of Education, the following changes will be occurring in all NPSC schools, effective immediately. 

  • Masks are now required for students in Grades 1-3 learning in-person

  • Masking requirements will also be put into place for specified outdoor activities.

  • The government has announced there will be enhanced screening protocols and voluntary participation in targeted testing for all in-person learners. 

 

Mask-wearing on school transportation will continue to be required. Families are also encouraged to send students to school with a spare mask, in the event one becomes soiled or wet.
