National Indigenous Peoples Day 2021

National Indigenous Peoples Day - June 21
Posted on 06/18/2021
National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated annually on June 21, the summer solstice and longest day of the year.  It is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Given the current remote learning period and limitations on public gatherings, NPSC students and staff will be celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day remotely.  Each school has been actively planning unique ways to celebrate this special day - click here for a detailed list of school events and activities.

The Council of Ontario Directors of Education has also released this National Indigenous Peoples Day video.
