The 23rd annual Special Education Advisory Committee Carousel event will feature keynote speaker Isaac Murdoch, a world renowned artist and storyteller from Serpent River First Nation, who will share his personal story of discovering his strengths and talents despite any obstacles he encountered in life.
Isaac is from Serpent River First Nation located between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury Ontario. Raised in a traditional setting of hunting and gathering, Isaac's experiences have shaped his role as an advocate for bridging the gaps between Indigenous and Western communities. Isaac shares stories from the past, present and with purpose for what needs to change for the future. Through the power of traditional values, beliefs and knowledge, Isaac teaches how-to live-in balance with Mother Earth and all people. Click here for Isaac's full biography.
