Leading with Care: Jason Michaud Receives 2025 Health and Safety Excellence Award
Posted on 07/22/2025

As we look back on the 2024-2025 school year, we are reminded of the many individuals whose quiet leadership and daily commitment help keep our schools safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments. Among them is Jason Michaud, a dedicated teacher at St. Alexander Catholic Elementary School and this year’s recipient of the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) Health and Safety Excellence Award.

Introduced in the 2023-2024 school year, this award recognizes staff who increase health and safety awareness, strengthen employee engagement, and promote a positive safety culture – all while embodying our Board’s mission, vision, and values.

Jason, a Worker Joint Health and Safety Committee member for St. Alexander, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure his school is safe, secure, and well-managed for both students and staff. He has fostered trust and confidence among his school community by swiftly responding to health and safety concerns while communicating clearly and consistently to keep everyone informed of protocols and updates.

Leading by example, Jason demonstrates the importance of proactivity and preparation when it comes to health and safety in school environments. Our team at NPSC is deeply grateful for Jason’s diligence, care, and commitment to well-being, and we are proud to recognize his outstanding efforts with the 2025 NPSC Health and Safety Excellence Award.
