Mental Health Week 2026

Mental Health Week 2026 — Come Together, Canada
Posted on 04/30/2026

From May 4-10, 2026, the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) joins communities nationwide to recognize the 75th annual Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Mental Health Week.

This year’s theme, “Come Together, Canada,” highlights how vital human connection is to our overall well-being. By fostering a deep sense of belonging and reducing isolation, we continue to build safer, more inclusive, and compassionate Catholic school communities.

Mental Health Week beautifully coincides with Catholic Education Week. This year’s theme, Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness, perfectly complements the call for connection. While our individual journeys are unique, we never walk alone; we travel as a community, uplifting one another through every challenge.

To mark Mental Health Week, R.I.S.E, the mental health education and advocacy group at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School (SJSH), will launch a variety of community-building efforts. From creative poster contests and “Connections Bingo” to the exchange of classroom affirmations, each activity is designed to remind our students of their inherent worth and the strength found in the love that surrounds them.
