At the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC), we know that the quality of a student’s learning environment plays a vital role in their ability to grow and thrive. That’s why we are grateful to have dedicated staff who work diligently to ensure that our Catholic schools remain safe and responsive for every student and staff member.
This year, we are delighted to recognize Renée Blais, teacher at St. Luke Catholic Elementary School, as this year’s recipient of the NPSC Health and Safety Excellence Award.
Introduced in the 2023-2024 school year, the NPSC Health and Safety Excellence Award recognizes staff who increase health and safety awareness, strengthen employee engagement, and promote a positive safety culture while embodying NPSC’s mission, vision, and values.
As a Worker Joint Health and Safety Committee member for St. Luke, Renée supports her Catholic school community with a strong sense of responsibility and care for others. Approachable and attentive, she ensures that staff are kept informed of health and safety protocols and that concerns are addressed promptly.
Whether identifying potential risks, sharing practical recommendations, or helping put safe practices in place, Renée leads by example and contributes to a culture where health and safety are well understood and consistently maintained across the school.
Thank you, Renée, for your attention to detail and the care you bring to supporting safe learning environments across NPSC!
