Celebrating Vice-Chair Shelly Warren's Service to Community and Catholic Education

With great pride, the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NSPC) warmly congratulates Shelly Warren, Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees, on being recognized by BayToday with a Random Act of Kindness.
As highlighted by BayToday, Shelly’s commitment to others is woven into her daily life. From regularly visiting her father at Cassellholme and taking the time to know residents and staff by name, to volunteering at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice and supporting families through the Sashbear Foundation, Shelly’s actions are rooted in compassion and connection. These quiet, consistent acts of service speak to her belief that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and treated with dignity.
That same spirit guides Shelly’s work as Vice-Chair of the NPSC Board of Trustees, where she consistently advocates for students, families, and the communities we serve. A humble leader with a strong background in Catholic education, Shelly brings a wealth of knowledge to her role and always keeps the well-being of students at the centre of her decisions.
“It’s very important to stay connected to community,” said Shelly. “When you’re involved, you develop a strong sense of local need, and that helps guide where you can make a positive difference.”
“Shelly really embodies what it means to be a Catholic school trustee,” said Shawn Fitzsimmons, Chair of the Board. “We’re so grateful to have her serve alongside us in the stewardship of Catholic education.”
“It’s incredibly heart-warming to see Shelly receive this well-deserved recognition,” said Paula Mann, Director of Education. “Her history of service is long-standing, and she continues to exemplify strong servant leadership in everything she does.”
Shelly’s recognition is a reminder of the role Catholic school trustees play in their communities, leading with compassion, serving with integrity, and prioritizing the needs of others. We are grateful for Shelly’s dedicated service and proud of the heart she brings to our Board, our schools, and our communities.
Congratulations, Shelly, and thank you for showing us the power of living our Catholic faith through service to others.
