As the 2022-2023 school year draws to a close, we reflect on the many opportunities and remarkable successes of our students, staff and entire NPSC Catholic Board community. It is with much gratitude and humility that we extend our appreciation to our amazing students, staff, families and community partners for an incredible school year.

At its regular meeting held June 27, 2023, the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) approved its 2023-2024 budget.

This year saw 250 students in 10 classes across NPSC schools, participate in using FIRST® LEGO® League Class Packs in grades 2 through 8.

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School’s (SJSH) student-advisory group, Mkwa Doodem, and Indigenous Language/Studies teacher, Tory Fisher, embarked on a trip to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the Manito Ahbee Pow Wow.

On May 11, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School (SJSH) invited students, staff and community members to their annual school Powwow.

Beginning on June 7, we invite those involved in and those who care for Catholic Education in the province of Ontario to pray together for nine days in preparation for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. "Read more" for more information, including the daily prayers.

The community-wide power outage that resulted in today’s school closure has been resolved; therefore, we are pleased to confirm that St. Theresa School will be open tomorrow, Thursday April 6, 2023, to receive students.

Early this morning, St. Theresa's heat and hydro went out, as a result of the recent weather. Staff and Administration are hard at work to resolve this problem with the local power authority.

The Canadian Parents for French Ontario (CPFO) will be offering free French virtual programs for students from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 12 in Core French, French Immersion and Extended French.

On Tuesday, March 21, Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School hosted a school assembly to celebrate student Jillian Johnson, who was recognized as the Rotary Club of North Bay’s Rotary4Kids Ambassador!

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is conducting a Childcare Program Needs Survey for the 2023-2024 school year. The goal of this survey is to understand the need for childcare programs for school aged children, and assist with childcare program and service planning. We are asking all families to complete this survey on childcare needs. The survey should take about five minutes to complete.

This past year, our NPSC school communities continued to model tremendous flexibility, creativity, perseverance and resilience to renew student learning and well-being together.

At this time each year, a committee of representatives from the four school boards in our region work together to consult with their respective school communities to establish the school year calendar. Mr. de Jourdan fills a vacancy left by the retirement of Frank O’Hagan on November 28, 2022. His term will begin on December 12, 2022 and continue until the end of the current term of the Board on November 14, 2026....
