We are pleased to announce that Tony D’Agostino, Principal at Mother St. Bride Catholic Elementary School, has been selected by the Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario (CPCO) to be the recipient of this year’s Principal of the Year award.

The award was instituted by CPCO in 2000.  It is presented each year to a Principal/Vice-Principal, who is a member or associate member of CPCO, for outstanding School and Community leadership.  Mr. D’Agostino received this award at the annual CPCO Conference and Gala in Toronto on April 26.

“I am very proud to have received this award and extend my heartfelt appreciation to CPCO.  I feel very fortunate to be a member of such an exemplary organization.  I am very grateful for my Principal and Vice-Principal colleagues and am very blessed to work with them.  I extend my thanks to them for nominating me for this award; I am truly honored and appreciate their ongoing support.  I also thank other Educators and Senior Administrators, who I have been fortunate to work with.  I greatly appreciate the many opportunities I have had to collaborate with them.” said D’Agostino, pictured centred with CPCO President Jennifer Yust (left) and CPCO Executive Director Joe Geiser (right).

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board extends its warmest congratulations and sincere appreciation to Tony D’Agostino for his leadership and commitment to his school, to NPSC, and to Catholic education in Ontario!
